Gymnastics Class

From the day I quit qymnastics (well, really, even before then), I asked myself the question, "If you ever have a little girl....will you put her in gymnastics class when she is little?"

And I thought, "ehhhh, that will be forever away, I'll just think about that then."

God must have a sense of humor because on August 4th, 2009 at 2:16am.....I had a little girl.

And this month, she turned 18 months old! Which, is old enough to attend "mommy-and-me" classes at the local YMCA.

Sooooo......what to do.......

Well, in the end, the YMCA helped me decide.

The only "mommy-and-me" class offered was, of course, GYMNASTICS!

So, I signed her up, with the promise to myself that (when the weather was warmer) I would put her in swim classes or dance classes or something OTHER than gymnastics. I want her to try it all and let her pick what she wants to stick with (if anything).

Anyways, yesterday was her first (non-playgroup style) gymnastics class.

Of course I had to take pictures!

I've been trying to teach her to say "cheese" and actually look at the camera while I was taking a picture. As you can see, I haven't been super successful....

Till today! She gave me a big ol' smile.......yeah!!!

Obligatory pic with me

And Chris had a late start day (because of the snow), so he was home to take a picture too!

She wanted her own picture on the rug...

Ended up, because of the snow, we were the only ones at class!

But she had SOOOO much fun. She just laughed and laughed while running around on the tumble track. She even grabbed the bar and swung herself. And you wonder why we call her our little "Monkey Girl!"

I wish I had pictures of her in class, but I was too busy chasing my little houdini around.

And you know what else was great about gymnastics class?! Afterwards, she came home and fell right asleep for her nap...no fussing, no getting out of bed...nada!

Can we go to gymnastics class every day?
