February 14th = Valentines!
February 14th = LOVE, Chocolate, and all things ROMANTIC!
Blah....I'm not an "I hate Valentines Day" kinda person....but its a bit much for this gal.
Suuuuure doesn't stop me from eating the chocolate though (Thanks Dad....even though I'm a married gal, he STILL gives me candy on Valentines Day. Isn't he a great Dad?!)!
Anyways, because I'm not a "Valentines must be a perfectly romantic night with my husband" kinda gal, I planned a different kind of Valentines Day.
A Daddy/Daughter date for Chris and Clark. To CHUCKY CHEESE (poor Chris)!
But, as it ended up, their Valentines date was postponed due to having a very sick munchkin and hubby on Valentines Day.
Nevertheless, Chris still got me roses and a card (ok, ok so mayyybe I do have a soft spot for Valentines Day after all).
So, after both my children recovered from their sicknesses, we made the "Valentines Date" into a family outing.....with Clark dressed in her Valentines Day clothes....
Did you know that if you go to Chucky Cheese at 4m on a weekday you could be the ONLY people there?!
We started out by watching the Chucky Cheese Show....from wayyy across the restaurant. Those stuffed/animated things were kinda creepy.....
I'm not sure who liked the big bulldozer ride the best...
Which she climbed up from the WRONG direction!
This Kentucky Derby ride would have been my favorite as a kid (ask my mom how OBSESSED with horses I was as a child.....there are quite a few embarrassing stories....).
It did buck around quite a bit, so I don't blame her!
We definitely had a fun, belated Valentines Day outing!
Have I mentioned how glad I am that Chris is home more and that we can do these kinds of things now?!
Aww! Glad you guys got to enjoy such a fun family day! We actually just went to Chuckee Cheese last Friday for the first time with our munchkin. Fun but a little creepy at times too. Kiddo had a ball on the rides and loved retrieving all the tickets from the games.
