Sometimes (ok, most of the time) my outings with Clark do NOT go as planned.
For example, yesterday....it was a bit chilly outside, but we were both TIRED of being cooped up inside the house.
Well, Clark got this cool tricycle with a push handle on it for Christmas...and we have yet to use it outside. Does she ride it through my kitchen while I'm trying to make dinner? Yes. Does she ride it around and around the sofas? Yes. But, we had never braved taking it outdoors.
So, in all my smartness, I figured...hey....why not?! What could go wrong?!
The walk started out well. She rode the trike right out the front door and into the yard allll on her own.
AAAAnnnnd thats about it.
The rest of the walk looked a lot like this....Me pushing the empty trike with Clark running away down the street (not the safest...I know).
This was all fine and dandy...Clark was collecting leaves along the way...
And even contemplated getting back on the trike.
Which, she did. UNTIL I wouldn't let her drive down the driveway and into the street.
Which triggered the BIGGEST toddler tantrum I have ever seen her throw.
Right there in the middle of some random person's driveway. We are talking full-out laying on the sidewalk, kicking her feet, and lots of screaming.
I guess I was distracted by trying scoop up my screaming toddler and somehow push the trike home that I didn't notice the Betty Crocker convention happening at the house across the street. But, at that exact moment (of course) a WHOLE bunch of perfectly put-together ladies came out of this house (all holding casserole dishes and a goodie bag.....and I'm pretty sure they all drove minivans). Awesome.
Hi....don't mind me and my screaming child...she loves me....I swear! :)
Embarassing.
Until Clark is done with this fit-throwing stage (please tell me it will be soon), no more walks during daylight.
Just kidding...well...kinda.
GIRL! haha! it's really NOT funny. but it's just that i have SOOOO been there!!! well. not there exactly. there wasn't a betty-crocker-minivan convention. but i've been *there*. hahahahaha. i'm so sorry. i wish that i could say that it'll get better. but i don't know that for sure! haha.
